Decadence, New by Marc Jacobs
Till this fragrance, when you mentioned me Marc Jacobs parfums, first thing that came to my mind was super cute flacons/bottles and very fresh, almost sour scentes. Not completely my style. My colegue said, that this scent will be something completely different from all others from Jacobs, very strong and elegant, so I hardly waited for it’s lounge. When I saw the bottle I was overwhelmed, same with the fragrance. It’s crazy <3 It has the same codes of irreverent femininity as the rest of his fragrance offering, but with Decadence Marc edges away from girlish innocence into a deeper, darker and more sensual world. Marc Jacobs Decadence is a sensual, luxurious, woody fragrance, embodying the spirit of irreverent glamour. The fragrance opens with sultry top notes of Italian plum, iris flower, and saffron. The heart opens with luxurious notes of Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, and orris. The indulgent dry down reveals the base notes of vetiver, papyrus woods, and liquid amber.
The bottle design
The cap features a gold chain and deep green python print. A black tassel hangs from the chain on the caps of the 1.7oz and 3.4oz sizes. Magnets secure the cap to the green bottle so that the entire package can be carried by the chain. Available in three sizes: 3.4oz/100ml, 1.7oz/50ml, 1.0oz/30ml.
As the best representative for this fragrance was chosen Adriana Lima. A Brazilian model and actress, best known as a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2000 (being their longest-running model), as a spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics from 2003 to 2009 and for her Super Bowl and Kia Motors commercials. I think they couldn’t chose better face.
